Good health brings true wealth!

arbonne-confHello my name is Julie; for as long as I can remember I have been interested in health and wellbeing.  When I discovered reflexology many years ago I was drawn to this intriguing therapy.  I trained at the Kristine Walker School of Reflexology in Brighton. After a few years running my practice from home I moved to live and work in Zambia where I continued to offer treatments to friends and guests who stayed at Remote Africa’s beautiful safari lodge, Tafika, where I lived and worked.  I returned to the UK in 2011 and have now moved to part time work so I can dedicate more time to my Reflexology practice.

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a holistic, non-evasive therapy that treats the whole person and benefits both emotional and physical wellbeing.  Gentle pressure is applied to reflex points on the feet or hands and this stimulates nerve endings and energy flow throughout the body.  A treatment is generally extremely relaxing and aids the body’s natural healing capabilities.

As our lives become increasingly fast paced it can be challenging to achieve balance and happiness. Chronic stress and fatigue severely affect our health both physically and emotionally.  Symptoms may manifest in a number of ways:

Physical Symptoms: aches and pains, muscle tension, frequent colds, lack of energy, digestive issues, weight gain or loss, headaches.

Behavioural Changes: difficulty making decisions, lack of motivation, insomnia, changes in eating habits, reliance on alcohol, smoking or drugs

Cognitive Changes: difficulty in concentrating, excessive worrying, feelings of fear and anxiety, perceiving things as mostly negative.

Emotional Changes: irritability, feeling overwhelmed, loneliness, melancholy or low mood.

Reflexology can help improve well being in a variety of ways, often improving sleep patterns and helping the body to re-balance. I also provide a safe space to take time out of your day to day life to take a fresh perspective and support you to make changes to improve your wellbeing.

Treatments can be extremely helpful in handling stress and anxiety, alleviating chronic symptoms like migranes and providing support to individuals undergoing conventional medical treatment.
